What are set-aside goals?

Set-aside goals are mandated by the Federal Government to help the economic development of designated groups. The President of the United States signed into law PL 106-50, PL 108-183 and PL 109-461 which are designed to assist Veteran Owned and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business and to help meet federal guidelines for set aside contracting targets. These public laws and executive orders honor the extraordinary service rendered by our Veterans.

If my company uses the services of a "prime" general contractor who is not a Veteran Owned business can I still meet mandated set-aside goals?

Yes, you can still work with your prime or general contractors and meet set-aside goals by asking your prime contract to work with a Veteran or Service Disabled Owned Small Business as a sub-contractor.

What are the benefits of membership?

The Veterans Owners Business Alliance offers opportunities to network with other veteran owned businesses in order to grow your business.
